Thinking inside the box, a Real Touch Screen of Genius
By Brendon McLoughlin

If you like flexible, dynamically configurable robust component based technology, you don’t have to go much further than the new all-in-one touch screen pc by DigiPos to find it. The real genius about this unit is its design.

Its hard imagine that anyone sat down to design a 1GHz, Windows XP Pro, 60GB HD, 1GB Memory, XVGA 15” Touch screen with a low power consumption strategy for deployment into Point of Sale and Point of Service EPOS solutions. At the end of the process, out came the new fan less DigiPos All-in-one Kiosk Touch screen which is not much bigger than the screen dimensions in high and width, yet still managed to keep the depth of the unit to less then 70mm approx.

Where the true genius is in the units design, is when you consider, all the component parts i.e. hard drive, motherboard as easily accessed and swappable, so when the unit is mounted and fixed onto a mounting point you can still simply slid the component out of its housing.

The combination offered by this design means the unit can complete very well on price when compared to is competitors in the touch screen pc market sector, however this unit also opens a wealth of possible solutions for kiosk applications large and very very small.
